The Non-denominational / Emerging Church

Sorry I haven't been able to blog in a while, but I've been crazy busy (See the quote up top). Anyway something that's been on my mind is the whole emerging church/ non denominational church. I don't know what to think about these churches, mainly because I know very little about them. What's different about these churches? Why do they separate themselves from the more traditional protestant churches? Why are they so successful? Is the massive success of these super churches success because some of them are more accepting of homosexuality or other things the traditional church would deem 'worldly'. Do they normally address difficult issues or just say "we'll pray about it, in the mean time, love God" and then forget about it (we'll I guess many Churches do a lot of that too). Are the super churches (Joel Orsteen) successful because they tell people what they want to hear, instead of what they need to hear? (is that a universal church issue?). So many questions. So if anybody out there wants to answer these questions, feel free to drop some smart.

well well well...i am not sure where to begin and this is something i have struggled with for the last 2 years...i can't tell you why...i think you are close to it with all your assessments on the situation...there are good things in them just a lot of bad...just keep searching like i am and in the end if it is not what God wants it will be stopped...
